everett's 1 year old pics + family pics

we asked our friend shayla to take some pictures of everett at (almost) 1 year old and decided to do a few family pictures as well. i couldn't be more obsessed with them, she captured everett's darling personality perfectly! i narrowed it down to my favorites to post... ahem 47 of them.... enjoy!

hogle zoo

and my dad even remembers it from when he was a kid!

we went to hogle zoo last week with our friends kyle and brittany to celebrate their daughter brielle's 2nd birthday! hogle zoo is one of my biggest memories as a kid. while my dad was in medical school at the U, my mom would take my older brother and i there almost every day. we only lived just down the street from it so it was a quick walk there and we would see all the animals and play on the playground with the giant tree slide! scariest slide ever, in my 3 year old mind.

when grayson and i were dating, i took him on a 'hometown' date. now looking back it does sound pretty cheesy but i wanted to show him my childhood and the things that i loved, so of course the zoo was on the list of places to go but that's the last time i went!

it looks SO different from the zoo i remember as a kid, but it was still so fun. and the reptile house is still creepy crawly, i didn't want to go in! but it ended up being my favorite place of the day because everett made friends with a bird in there and the two of them carried on a conversation for quite a while haha! thanks for inviting us brit and kyle!
